Benefits of baby group

I wanted to talk about baby groups, we are huge fans of them and here’s why!
Baby groups are usually free (check your local family centre or church to see what’s available) if they’re not free it’s usually a small amount £2-£5 a session!
They enable you to go and get out together for an hour or so.
They’re proven to help with babies develop, physical and social development! There really is something magical watching your baby explore week after week and seeing them change.
Here’s a big one! They’re beneficial for the parent too! Somewhere to go and talk to other adults, no judgement, some going through the same things and a problem shared and all that! The practitioners are amazing too, they can help with all sorts and offer lots of support or just be that person to listen to you which is what we want, just to be heard! Being a stay at home mummy can be the most rewarding yet lonely experience we go though. These places are your support network.
Another fabulous benefit, they offer so many different resources and experiences for your little one to explore! Toys they may not have at home, books to read and songs to sing together! It’s fantastic for messy play especially if you’re not a fan of the clean up, just take old clothes, have fun and go home after the chaos!
My local family centre in particular is about 10 minutes walk and they offer 1-3 sessions 5 days a week! How awesome is that!
There’s messy play days, soft play days, baby group, toddler groups and even loads of adult classes from fitness to wellness or adult learning!
We’ve attended this same place for 5 years now and it honestly has given us so much support over the years!
You can make life long friends and your baby will make their very first friendships too.
I’d love to know if you attend any baby/toddler groups and why you love them!
