A month of nature!
This month the little adventurer is participating in the nature play initiative. This is an Instagram hashtag were each day you have a word prompt to help inspire some play involving nature, outdoors, creating and having fun exploring!
This is absolutely right up the little adventure’s street, he loves outdoor play, being surrounded by nature and lets face it, he truly loves collecting nature things.
This week we’ve explored so much with nature that we may not have thought to do thanks to the nature play initiative, it’s lots of fun ticking off the daily word prompts.
Our favourite so far was the word colourful, the adventurer in training tried to think out of the box and find a creative task to complete together!
We came up with an invitation to create dream catcher. We used items we’ve collected on previous nature trails: sticks, twigs, twine, wool, beads and feathers to create two beautiful dream catchers.
Of course the little adventurer is too small to make things like this, he did however, choose all the colours, the wool, the beads, the feathers etc. The adventurer in training then created the dream catchers and did a pretty good job as the little adventurer’s reaction was “oooh wow”
These will hang proudly in our bed rooms, catching all the negative vibes and bad dreams. Thank you to the #natureplaymarch initiative for inspiring the little adventurer this week, we are excited to continue the rest of the month too.
