Adventurer blog

The little adventurer has had lots of interesting sensory play trays this week, he’s loved playing with each one and the messier the better!

The little adventurer has been able to explore his senses through the sensory trays, we’ve been smelling, tasting and touching all of the exciting new things. All of the sensory trays have been taste safe and all made from scratch with ingredients from the adventurer in training’s kitchen cupboards.

The one that kept the little adventurer engaged the most was a farm sensory tray, this was home made cloud dough, pine cones, feathers, pom poms and some of the little adventurer’s wooden farm toys!

So simple to make and the aftermath wasn’t that bad, the adventurer in training wasn’t cleaning up for too long.

We will add recipes at a later date for anyone inspired to create their own cloud dough for hours of fun, you can also keep a batch in an air tight container too perfect for lots more sensory play.

With the farm theme, the little adventurer was able to count how many animals with the help of the adventurer in training, pair the animals, what noise the animals make and what their names are. Learning through play is the best way.
