Our holiday!

The little adventurer has recently been on his holidays. This holiday was cancelled a few months back and we managed to finally get away, we all needed it.

The little adventurer helped pack his little suitcase and thoroughly enjoyed wheeling it around the house.

The car journey was planned, we had snacks, water, play things, books, blankets. You name it we thought it. (Learned from last year) little loves his aquadoodles and connteix magnetic tiles which were attached to a baking tray! Genius idea. Hours of fun and no lost parts.

Once we arrived we settled into our holiday home, unpacked and explored! First stop the beach, Little was in his element! Ran straight to the “splish splash” (the sea) kicked off his shoes and socks and felt the cold water refreshing, cool and revitalise the soul! He’s an absolute water baby and loved the sea! The adventurer in training loved watching him enticed by the crashing waves, running to the warm sand and going back for more.

Our holiday was 4 nights and 5 days. In that time we explored 6 different beaches and 2 of them we visited a few times. We went fossil hunting, we actually found some, well, daddy adventurer did. Little loved collecting stones, throwing them into the sea and screaming “I did it” at the top of his lungs.

We collected shells, rocks, stones, sand, seaweed and enjoyed the crisp sea air. We searched high and low for seals but couldn’t find them. We found crabs, sea critters inside their shells and some fish! We built sandcastles and explored the villages finding a lighthouse.

The little adventurer had the best time, doing what he dies best, exploring. We lived the week like a toddler, seeing the wow and wonder in everything from the highest wave to the tiny grain of sand between our toes.

Explore like a toddler, love like a teenager and be as wise as a grandparent.
