This week we’ve had many fantastic adventure, my favourite though, has to be the puddle hunt. We grabbed our wellington boots, put on our hats and coats and went on an expedition
Thanks to a previous evening of rain we were not disappointed either.
We found lots of puddles in all shapes and sizes and we jumped, stamped our feet, splished, splashed and sploshed in every single one.
The little adventure was thrilled when he found the biggest, sploshiest and splashiest puddle ever, it filled half a road and he ran and jumped with all his little might, his little face beaming with pride at his spectacular find.
After we returned home we headed to the play room to learn about puddles. Now don’t get me wrong I know the little adventurer is far too young to comprehend what I was telling him. However in my opinion it’s crucial to help language skills through reading, listening, talking, singing and practicing phonics and I believe the earlier it’s installed the more beneficial it is for the child. I digress!
I set up the chalkboard with a pretty design, cut out some puddles out of paper to ‘jump into’ and on the reverse side of the puddles were some facts and questions for us to answer together. The little adventurer was very engrossed and listened to every word.
it truly was the best splish, splash and sploshiest day.
Wow! Such fabulous experiences! 😍😍
